Definition

Die Rendite einer Anlage über dem, was eine Benchmark (oder ein Modell wie das CAPM) vorhersagt. Positives Alpha = Können; negatives Alpha = Rückstand nach Risikoanpassung.

Beispiel

Ein Fonds, der 12 % bringt, während das CAPM 9 % vorhersagt, hat 3 % Alpha.
